Australian wildlife art decals

Australian wildlife art decals

Australian wildlife art decals are unique interior artworks with a free and wild spirit.

Australian wildlife art decals are printed on hard-wearing removable vinyl wallpaper. They are easy to apply – just peel the backing off and stick to the wall. They are also readily removable – simply peel off again. They can then be repositioned or used again at an entirely new location .

Australian wildlife art decals look great in any interior space. They work as a single stand-alone image, in small groups of two or three, or in larger groups. You can create your own unique artwork with these images – imagine a flock of brightly coloured parrots streaming across the wall of your living room or even an entire ecosystem of different species in your bedroom.

The images are all original photographs of wild Australian birds and animals taken in their natural habitat all around Australia, from Victoria’s Surf Coast to Northern Territory’s Kakadu National Park, from semi-arid mallee woodlands to tropical Queensland rainforests. Some species are widespread and common, others are rare and confined to specific habitat and regions.

Australian wildlife art decals: artworks as wild as your imagination.

About the artist

Hello, my name is Ian Sutherland. I’m a photographer, artist and naturalist based in Melbourne Australia. I make Australian wildlife art decals.

I’ve been into nature since I was a small child turning over rocks in the paddock behind my grandparents’ home in central Victoria to find lizards, crickets, spiders and scorpions. These days I still love photographing birds and other wildlife whether in it’s city parks, more wild places such as Victoria’s Surf Coast and mountain forests or further afield in Northern Territory’s Kakadu or North Queensland’s tropics. All the photos that the wildlife art decals are based on are of wild birds and animals in their natural habitat.

As well as birds and wildlife, I also create large-scale outdoor public art mural installations in pasteup (paper and wheat-flour) art.

I also photograph live circus and moody landscapes and create surreal photoshop collages that bend and blur reality and dreams. If you’re interested in at any of my other work please click on the links below or drop us a line.
